Description

At Trefriw Woollen Mills we design and weave tweeds and bedspreads carrying out the processes from fleece to fabric. We also generate our own electricity.

Visitors can view the weaving and hydro-electric turbines.

Other machinery for processing wool can be seen during the summer and handspinning is demonstrated. Plants which supply natural dyes and fibres can be seen in the Weaver's Garden. They are labelled with their botanical names and uses.

Our products are available in the mills shop:- Welsh tapestry bedspreads, tweeds, travelling rugs, "tapestry" dinner sets, throws and purses, tweed hats, caps and scarves. We also stock a wide range of pure wool knitwear and sheepskin rugs. Refreshments available in our tearoom.
